During 2021 I've had an interest on watching a lot of old vintage movies during the pandemic. The atmosphere of a classic black and white movie to vintage and muted colored movies of the 60-70s. What I wanted to achieve in the studies is to just get the values correct as well as the atmosphere of the characters and setting.

Les Yeux Sans Visage (Eyes Without a Face). A French movie about a young woman with a injured face and her mad scientist father who is trying to write his wrongs for the accident. The movie was visually stunning and the black and white atmosphere really made the mask the main character was wearing pop.

Sisters is a horror movie involving twins. The actress who plays the sisters, Margot Kidder, has a very sharp face and her facial expressions were so stunning that I tried to capture that similar likeness in her features.

I do want to do another set of studies soon especially for more of these older films. I do feel that what I want to achieve is to make my studies shorter in time as well as emphasize coloring in shapes instead of focusing on blending as well.
